Tend & See have an original sensibility that can’t be tied down to any influences or contemporaries.

Migrations is a stunningly accomplished debut EP. With no filler whatsoever in its five tracks, and covering a wide breadth of moods and motifs, it’s soft electronic pop at its finest.

Tend & See

A soundscape-crafting duo (Melissa Banduras & Faye Mallett) from Montreal and Vancouver who push themselves to break their personal, musical tendencies by mixing their acoustic instruments into electronic sounds, beats and loops. What results is a seamless mix of shoe gaze vocals, musique concrete samples, and ambient, cinematic soundscapes. The duo continue to create music collaboratively, across distance, going by the name Tendency, with a new release Bloom, in 2020.

House of Rain ~
Out of the Many

Faye Mallett’s (House of Rain) debut album is comprised of songs written over a 3-year period and performed with members of Groundtruthing, a group she co-founded in 2009. All the songs have been slowly built from the ground up, their final form representing a gradual accretion of improvised vibraphone, drumset, keyboard, vocal melodies, piano, trumpet, steel pedal and electronic guitar.

These are songs that have been lived with, each one charting changes in time and different paths taken to create an overall impression that is intensely present.
